About Us
Welcome to Social Artist Collective Yoga & Empowerment Coaching—where wellness is flexible, real, and designed to actually fit you.
We’re not about perfect poses, strict rules, or squeezing yourself into someone else’s idea of “healthy.” And recovery? That doesn’t come in a one-size-fits-all package either. Around here, we believe your path gets to be your own.
At SAC, we blend yoga therapy, recovery coaching, and empowerment-based mentorship into a whole-life approach that meets you exactly where you are—messy middle, fresh start, or anywhere in between. With a mix of professional expertise and lived experience, we create a space that’s supportive, personalized, and refreshingly human.
This is where mind, body, and spirit come together—with equal parts grit and grace. Where growth can be deep and a little lighthearted. Where you’re allowed to show up as you are and still evolve into who you’re becoming.
Think of it as your backstage pass to yourself: a safe, inclusive, no-judgment zone to move, breathe, reflect, laugh, reset, and just be. Drop in for a class, join a workshop, or dive into a full-on life upgrade—every body, every background, every mood is welcome.

A little about me...
Welcome and thanks for visiting!
I’m Sandi Johnson, the founder, the visionary, and your friendly neighborhood Change Instigator. For over 20 years, I’ve been deep in the nonprofit trenches — leading grassroots movements, building start-ups, advocating at state and local levels, writing grants at midnight, speaking on big stages, and rolling up my sleeves for community growth. I’ve served as executive director, public speaker, policy whisperer, fundraiser, and professional dot-connector. Translation? I know how to move people — and mountains.
My specialty has been substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery, leading both adolescent and adult programs with a client-centered, solutions-oriented approach. I believe in meeting people where they are… not where a textbook says they “should” be. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all — and neither are you.

Now let’s get personal.
I’ve got 20+ years of my own colorful recovery journey. (Heavy on the colorful.) I believe in diverse pathways because I’ve walked a few. Twenty-nine years ago, I met my yoga mat — and unlike a few questionable life choices, it stuck. My mat has been the most consistent, unconditional relationship of my adult life. Don’t get me wrong — I’m a community girl through and through. Peer support programs? Yes please. But my mat? She’s never ghosted me.
Over the years, I’ve explored different yoga styles, philosophies, and healing modalities, but my favorite reminder remains:
“It’s not about touching your toes — it’s what you learn on the way down.”
Through Social Artist Collective, I blend addiction recovery expertise, leadership development, yoga therapy, and mental health practices to guide individuals and groups toward whole-person transformation. Not surface-level fixes. Not performative wellness. The real stuff. My mission? To help you live as your most authentic, grounded, powerful self — no dimming required.
Off the mat, I’m a mom and step-mom, wife to the love of my life, and a woman in long-term recovery. I have a heart that regularly outpaces my capacity (working on that), I’m a deeply feeling empath, and I care fiercely about humanity and community. I’m officially retired from “inside-the-box” thinking — which is exactly why SAC exists.
I love travel, the outdoors, beaches, and hiking. I drive big trucks, hot rods, and snowmobiles — and I’m lobbying hard to add a jet ski to the lineup this year. Equal parts barefoot beach walker and horsepower enthusiast.
My childhood hero? Jane Goodall — proof that fierce compassion can change the world.
If you’re looking for someone polished and perfect, that’s not me.
If you’re looking for someone real, resilient, and wildly committed to your growth?
Pull up a mat, or a chair and let's get to work.
